WHO I AM DONATING TO IN APRIL
One of my goals in 2020 is to make more of a conscious effort to help look after our planet. As part of this intention, I wanted to invest my time and/or money each month, into a cause that I care about. I am taking the time to really research new ideas, organisations, and people, that do amazing things to help make this incredible home of ours a better place!
I didn’t initially plan on writing about any of this. It was something I was doing just for me. But then I thought, even if one person reads this and donates an extra pound, dollar, euro, (whatever your currency is), then it’s definitely worth it.
We all know the devastating effects that the coronavirus is having across the world right now, in so many terrible ways, including the hardships that small businesses are facing.
Maybe I was caught off guard, as this was booked as a birthday surprise (thanks brother-in-law!), and maybe I had no expectations, but this ranch absolutely blew me away. Like, the kind of blow-you-away that makes you cry, and you just can’t believe it. Actually, the kind that made me re-think my future, just a little bit.
I’d forgotten, but when I was little, I used to day-dream of a holiday, visiting a horse ranch, in a far-away country, riding through the forests and in the mountains. Copper Cayuse not only reminded me of that dream, but also brought it to life, in a more amazing way than I ever could have imagined.
Even my husband and friends, who are not really horse riders, found themselves wishing they had saddled up with me, because of how incredible It looked!
In my opinion, everyone, in the entire world, should have the opportunity to ride with Copper Cayuse, and it would be a terrible shame for this opportunity to be taken away in the future, due to a global pandemic.
Unfortunately, you can no longer donate to Copper Cayuse. They managed to raise 55% of their target, and are now allowed to re-open mid-June. However, if you are interested, you can read their blog post on why they were asking for help.
If you are planning on visiting Whistler any time in the future, and fancy sightseeing in a unique and wonderful way, invest in supporting Copper Cayuse. I’d argue there’s really no better way to see the rockies than on the back of a horse!! You won’t regret it.
Let me know in the comments if you have any suggestions on other projects I can support in the future.
Be kind, and follow your dreams,
